A New Movie Idea …
3 May, 2007A friend of mine who claims to be a lawyer (or something like that) has sent me his idea for a new movie. I think there is definitely a bit of scorsece in him … here is the synopsis:
Title: DE JA TACHYON
The rough story of the film is that a grizzled MIT Professor played by Adam Sandler claims that he has discovered how to measure a tachyon/ghost. With a nuclear-powered torchlight he can track the trail of a tachyon. It turns out that tachyons can never be seen but they leave behind traces of matter and physically disturbed oxygen particles in the air (tachyons turn O2 into O4). These can be seen in the light of the nuclear torch. A relunctant and doubting Cambridge Professor (played by you – my first choice for playing you, Will Smith, is making Wild Wild West 2 – The Eastern Front) discovers that the entire scheme was and ingenious but elaborate hoax that Sandler came up with to try and impress his girlfriend. The film ends with your character saying…
“Tachyons may be out there somewhere, and someday we may have the technology… but I haven’t won my nobel prize yet, so until that terrible day, I can still investigate actual physics!”
PS My tachyon obsessed movie making friend goes by the name of Luke.
